If you had to describe everything you want and need in a collaborative blogspace for women of color by talking about food....what would we be eating here? Looking forward to a feast of fabulousness!
we'd need to have resources and contacts for people to find supportive groups in their areas. i think that's really important. even if it's just an organization we all like and their e-mail/weblink.
Supervegetables. Broccoli, carrots, corn, peas, beans... all the things that give you a big hit of lots of the good stuff all at once. Radical WoC feminism is many things to many people, and that's why it's so rich and strong.
I agree with Ms Crip Chick, I want filling comfort food first...although I wouldn't turn down a chocolate covered strawberry or 12 from Tigera. LOL Eggplant Parmesan or Lasagna is on my menu! The eggplant parmesan has to be made right though, it has to be nice thick slices of eggplant, not those paper thin ones that are mostly breading. Would you believe that I had it for the first time this year? It's one of my sister's favorite foods and she made me try it. I've missed out not having it for the last 44 years!

oatmeal...something that i crave every morning and that helps me process the difficult stuff. (is that tmi :) lol.)
i'm all about comfort food--- mac&cheese, mashed potatoes, all the stuff that feels warm in your stomach.
i want us to have space that creates that same warm, home-cooked feeling.

Oatmeal is a must. With all the goodies to put in it. raisins, dried cranberries...maybe some nuts...damn, now I'm really hungry.
